Congratulation to Yayasan Pengguna Negara Malaysia, Cawangan Wilayah Sarawak (YPNM Sarawak) has officially launched at Sri Aman, Sarawak. YPNM Sri Aman is led by newly appointed Chairperson ~ Mdm. Jacylin Goh Boon Fay, newly appointed Deputy Chairman ~ Mr. Su Teng Eik, newly appointed Secretary ~ Ms. Jenny Ng Ser Su and Four (4) newly appointed Vice Chairman ~ Mr. Tay Yaw Ming, Mr. Ting Tiew Chik, Mr. Ngu Ke Sing and Mdm. Tan Sheau Siang.
Yayasan Pengguna Negara Malaysia is an NGO registered under and governed by Prime Minister’s Department. Our main role is to protect the rights of consumers from oppression and deception by any third parties such as shopkeepers, traders, government agencies and private companies.
YPNM Sri Aman has identified and established Three (3) main missions which consist and comprise “EDUCATION, TRANSFORMATION & IMPLEMENTATION”. We shall from time to time organize seminar(s) to educate the consumers about their rights provided under the law of Malaysia and at the same time, transform them to be responsible and smart consumers. We also work closely with Government Agencies, especially the KPDN in order to create awareness and implement the Government’s policies among the community. Apart from that, YPNM Sri Aman will be involved and engaged with the relevant agencies to do charity in order to help the necessary parties.
The set up of YPNM Sri Aman was greatly supported by Deputy Minister for Talent Development Sarawak (MEITD), YB Francis Harden Anak Hollis (ADUN N32 SIMANGGANG) and he strongly believed that YPNM will definitely protect the rights of users by promoting consumer rights awareness. YB Francis has witnessed the Letter of Appointment and Watikah Perlantikan given by YPNM Sarawak Chairman, YBrs Tuan Daren Ling to all the YPNM Sri Aman “Ahli Jawatan Kuasa” and accompany by YPNM Sarawak Secretary, YBrs Tuan Jimmy Ling.
YPNM Sri Aman promised will from time to time, work together closely with KPDN, PDRM, JPJ, KKM Sri Aman to organize events, seminars and any other platforms in order to protect the interest of the consumer.
