Yayasan Pengguna Negara Malaysia (YPNM) Sri Aman’s Branch had successfully organised our special welfare program called “Kempen Keselamatan Jalanraya Sempena Ramadan Al -Murabak” at 2pm on the 28th February 2025 at Petronas Sri Aman. This one-day campaign marked another meaningful step toward promoting road safety and enhancing the welfare of the B40 community in Sri Aman, Sarawak.
This impactful initiative was supported by the Kementerian Perdagangan Dalam Negeri dan Kos Sara Hidup (KPDN), Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM), Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan Raya (JPJ), Petronas Dagangan Berhad and Petronas Stesen Minyak Sri Aman. The event received an enthusiastic response from the public, especially motorcyclists, and focused on creating greater awareness of road safety while providing vital assistance to the community.
The event featured four major components:
* FREE RM5 Petrol Voucher for B40 Motorcyclists: 100 hundred motorcyclists received free petrol vouchers, making their travels a little easier this festive season.
* FREE Motor Reflective Warning Stickers: Reflective stickers were distributed to ensure better visibility for motorcyclists, especially during nighttime rides.
* FREE Road Safety Campaign Flyers: Educational flyers, provided by PDRM and JPJ, were shared to spread awareness of traffic rules and regulations.
* FREE Goodie Bags with Drinks: Goodie bags filled with light refreshments were distributed to participants, making the event more engaging and enjoyable.
This Road Safety Campaign activities was greatly supported by our Guest of Honour, Deputy Minister for Talent Development Sarawak (MEITD), YB.Francis Harden Anak Hollis (ADUN N32 SIMANGGANG) and he said that “As we stand here today for this meaningful campaign, it is clear that road safety is a responsibility we all share. This initiative reflects the power of collaboration – when government bodies, private organizations, and the community join forces, we can achieve remarkable outcomes for the betterment of society. I commend YPNM, KPDN, PDRM, JPJ, and all the other partners for their dedication to making our roads safer. I hope this collaboration inspires more stakeholders to come forward and support similar initiatives, ensuring that every journey on our roads is a safe one for all.”
Chairperson of YPNM Sri Aman ~ Mdm. Jacylin Goh extended her heartfelt appreciation to KPDN, PDRM, JPJ and Petronas petrol stations, and all contributors who played a vital role in making this initiative possible. “Your steadfast commitment and active involvement have been instrumental in the success of these initiatives. Together, we have demonstrated the strength of collaboration in addressing critical issues like road safety and community welfare. I look forward to continuing this partnership to bring about more meaningful programs that benefit the community of Sri Aman.
