YPNM Sarawak Courtesy Visit to DOSH Sarawak

Yayasan Pengguna Negara Malaysia (YPNM) Sarawak’s Branch had made a “Kunjung Hormat” on 12th August, 2022 led by our Sarawak Chairman Mr. Daren Ling together with Mr. Jimmy Ling (Secretary Sarawak), Dr. Ling YS (Vice Chairman, YPNM Kuching), Mr. Sebastian (Vice Chairman, YPNM Kuching), Mr. Bruce Sim (Vice Chairman, YPNM Kuching) and Mr. Clifford Tiong (Vice Chairman, YPNM Kuching) to meet up with Ir Dr. Hashim, Pengarah of Department of Occupational, Safety and Health, Sarawak with in order to have joint discussion in strengthening bilateral relationship between us as well as providing our fullest co-operation to the Ministry of Human Resources in implementing Safe and Healthy working culture in Malaysia.

We have a very fruitful discussion whereby we have touched on several current issues on the rise in the cases of hearing loss due to the excessive noise exposure from the respective noisy workplace. We also highlighted the issue where the noise generated from the workplace (i.e. Car Workshop) prone to disrupt the pengguna nearby where continuous impact wrenching and air compressing. We were having a view of joint collaboration to organize Industrial Hygiene Seminar for the Car workshop industry, Palm oil industry, Factory and Manufacturing. Quarry industry and Food processing industries.
