YPNM Sarawak Courtesy Visit to PDRM Sarawak

Yayasan Pengguna Negara Malaysia (YPNM) Sarawak’s Branch had on 18th May, 2023, paid a courtesy visit to the Deputy Police Commissioner of Sarawak, Dato Mancha Anak Ata at Sarawak Contingent Police Headquarters. This delegation was led by our Sarawak’s Chairman Mr. Ling Hang Hui, Daren together with Mr. Ling Ee Kung, Jimmy (Sarawak’s Secretary), Mr. Sebastian Apeng (Chairman, YPNM Padawan) and Mr. Alexander (Secretary, YPNM Padawan) and Mr Teo Wei Khiong (AJK, Kuching). The purpose of this visit is to have joint discussion in strengthening bilateral relationship between us as well as providing our fullest co-operation to the PDRM in combating crimes in Sarawak.

We have a very fruitful discussion whereby we have touched on several current issues especially on the National Scam Response Centre (NSRC) Hotline 997 and drugs abuse in Sarawak. We have observed the increased of scam at the alarming rate as well as the drugs abuse at the rural areas, we shall, with the collaboration from PDRM and local authorities, to create public awareness at all level and district on the importance of National Scam Response Centre (NSRC) Hotline 997 as well as to organize seminar(s) or dialogue session(s) on anti-drugs and illicit trafficking.

YPNM Sarawak will from time to time, pledge to work together closely with PDRM to organize events, seminars and any other platforms on other related issues in order to protect the interest of the Sarawakian. We believe “Prevention Is Better Than Cure”.
